Rubble Vase III, Handmade Burnished Stoneware Vase

Rubble Vase III is a one-of-a-kind handmade anthracite stoneware vase, wheel-thrown in Berlin. Its clay body is finished with an iron oxide wash, then pushed further by hand-burnished areas worked with white clay.

The surface has the depth of mineral-rich stone rather than a layer of decoration added afterward. The opening is cut by hand after the closed cylinder is thrown, and selected areas are burnished to make each surface unique.
