Rubble Vase I is a one-of-a-kind handmade stoneware vase, wheel-thrown in Berlin. Its cream-and-rust surface is coloured with natural mineral pigment from Portugal, giving the piece the quiet, weathered character of stone.

The cylindrical form is opened by hand, creating an intentionally irregular opening made to hold a single stem. A firing crack was stabilised using ceramic techniques and sealed with glaze, so the vase holds water without leaking.
