The glaze and the wire already carry enough character, so the form does not need to compete. Anthracite is a glaze I keep coming back to, one of my favourites.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI dip the whole cup in one even glaze, without hand-painted slip. The groove for the wire is carved during trimming; after firing, I fit the stainless-steel band by hand.
